The Wand is a computer controlled, painless, anaesthetic injection system developed to replace the traditional syringe in dentistry. The Wand is so effective that you might not even know you’ve had an injection. With this improved technology the dentist is able to choose to numb just one tooth. There will be no numbness of the tongue, cheek, or lip, allowing you to return to your normal routine quickly.
The Wand uses a small hand piece that looks like a pen, and supplies anaesthetic in a slow comfortable manner. It works at a low pressure, and a slow rate that gives an improved anaesthesia. This results in a more pleasant experience for patients. If you have a phobia of the pain caused by medical syringes this treatment allows you to attend the dentist without the anxiety.
AquaCare uses breakthrough technology to deliver a comfortable, quick cleaning procedure by using a fine stream of fluid combined with a tiny volume of powder directed at the teeth to be treated. Decay is then comfortably removed with minimal sensation, leaving healthy tooth material undisturbed. Typically a dental hygienist will scrape away plaque and tartar from your teeth, which some patients find uncomfortable. Unlike a conventional dental drill, hand instruments and ultrasonic devices, the AquaCare procedure makes no contact with your tooth and there is no distressing vibration, heat or smell.
